What is Silicone Edge Graphics?

May 23, 2017

SEG is a high-resolution dye-sublimated fabric graphic finished with a thin silicone strip (or welt/gasket). Often used for trade show displays, hanging signs, and tables. The silicone strip is sewn directly to the edge of the graphic, and the strip is then insterted into a frame with a recessed groove. There are a number of metal extrusions that allow you to take advantage of this clean look.

10x10classic-1.jpgThe size of the graphic must be precise so the fabric is taut when installed in the frame. The result is a large format graphic that mimics the old fashioned hard panel graphics commonly found on custom dispays and interior spaces.

Silicone Edge Graphics create a stunning look, especially when you have artwork that pops. Even better, the continuous look does not cut into text like hard panels often do.

MAJOR ADVANTAGES:
√  Lightweight. Fabric is lighter and more durable than direct prints graphics such as Sintra PVC.
√  Versatile. SEG can be used on many SEG aluminum extrusions.
√  Save LaborSeamless graphics makes for a quicker install and removal is a breeze. Just pull the tab.
√  Less FrameOur system allows for continuous flow of SEG graphics, even around 90 degree corners.
√  Save Room. SEG fabric can be folded up into boxes or rolled up into tubes. Economical for shipping.
√  No Glare. Hardwall panels often have a glossy texture that does not bode well for lighting. Fabric is great for photo-ops.
