Crafts Technology Grows with Manufacturing Upturn, Launches New Website. CHICAGO, June 12, 2013  – Crafts Technology announced that the company has experienced significant growth in demand from U.S. manufacturers throughout 2012 and 2013 for its custom tooling and components made from ultra-hard wear materials. To offer educational information to manufacturers, Crafts Technology recently revamped its website at www.craftstech.net, adding resources on the ultra-hard-wear materials it uses, which include tungsten carbide, advanced ceramics, and polycrystalline diamond.  “We attribute our growth to our ability to innovate for our customers in ways that help improve their productivity and reduce their overall costs,” says Tom Kuhl, president of Crafts Technology. “Our engineers and metallurgists work closely with our customers to improve part design, select the right material for the application, cut cycle time, and increase the life of the tooling or component.”

Its products are used in a wide variety of applications, such as: precision knives that cut abrasive materials, countersinking tools that cut fastener holes in aircraft structures, spray nozzles and needles for equipment that dispenses adhesives and other abrasive fluids, and core pins for injection molding.

Crafts Technology regularly holds technical seminars to provide the latest information on ultra-hard materials for custom manufacturing applications. Free registration is available online at www.craftstech.net/seminars.  Crafts Technology selected The Tradeshow Network Marketing Group in St. Charles, IL, to design the new site and help promote their speaking engagements and participation at industry conferences. “We are continually upgrading our technology and training our people so that we can share the latest advances in manufacturing practices with our customers,” Kuhl adds. He also attributes the privately held company’s ability to weather the recent economic downturn to its conservative approach, as the company operates without debt and shares profits with employees.

The company is poised to continue its growth along with its customers in a wide cross-section of industries. According to the report released May 1, 2013, from the Institute for Supply Management, April 2013 Manufacturing ISM Report on Business®, Economic activity in the manufacturing sector expanded in April for the fifth consecutive month, and the overall economy grew for the 47th consecutive month.”
