9 Tech Trends to Watch in 2012

March 27, 2012

In the February issue of TradeShow Executive, they outlined an article on this topic of the top technology trends for your trade show exhibit in 2012.  As a trade show marketer, I am always interested in ideas to help our clients be more effective in their booths and communicating their messages to the prospects that attend a trade show event.  Here is what Tradeshow Executive is telling us to watch out for:

1.  Mobile integration and optimization is key.trade show technology

2. "Big Data" will drive growth in business intelligence tools.

3.  Gamification will increase engagement and adoption rates.

4.  Mobile apps will continue to grow.

5.  Attendees are ready for more interactive technology.

6.  Increasing bandwidth and demand must be taken into consideration.

7.  Simplifying the user experience.

8.  Indoor positioning systems may gain traction.

9.  Going paperless.

Some of these points get complicated for the average trade show marketing manager.  You need to get your technology gurus involved in the process and that will require a lot of planning and management of the process.  There are however several points that you can address now – specifically by providing your attendees with more interactive technology.  If you do not have a presentation in your booth – add one with an iPad or laptop.  Create a video – play some games.  ANYTHING to make it more interactive, fun, and memorable!!

Everything you do…helps drives leads for your company.
