Marketing not a do-it-yourself project for most

I read this article from our local Daily Herald paper and was very intrigued and so I decided to share it with show marketing

Marketing is not a do-it-yourself project

Basically it says that business owners assume that they are qualified to write copy or do website, but they turn out to be their own worst enemy!! They know their products and services inside out but most likely can not articulate that into a marketing message to their customer target market.

Most small business owners do not need a fulltime marketing expert on staff but they should have the ability to contact a marketing consultant on a project by project basis.  This is certainly true when developing graphics for your trade show display OR when you do any trade show marketing.
